New Balance 996

Introduced in 1988, the 996 was the first radical evolution of the original 990. The 996's technological features represented six years of evolution with a subtly streamlined upper design. This made for an exceptionally comfortable and high-performance shoe. The MADE in USA 996 features a premium pigskin suede upper and ENCAP cushioning system. New Balance MADE US footwear is made with at least 70% of US-sourced materials. MADE makes up a limited portion of New Balance's US sales.
