Celebrating Women's Day - The VegNonVeg Way!

11 March 2025

This Women’s Day, VegNonVeg celebrated women whose work we admire—innovators, changemakers, and disruptors who push limits and redefine success.

We are excited to throw the spotlight on four incredible women from our community—trailblazers who are reshaping culture in their own way. A biker and designer challenging conventions, an entrepreneur reshaping industries, a tattoo artist redefining self-expression, and an artist who transforms mehndi and transient materials into powerful storytelling. Each of them has a unique story to tell—so join us as we uncover their journeys and celebrate the many ways they inspire us to embrace every version of ourselves.

Dr. Maral Yazarloo-Pattrick

Meet Dr. Maral Yazarloo-Pattrick—trailblazing motorcyclist, fashion designer, artist, and fierce advocate for women’s rights.

Born in Iran, Maral holds an MBA and PhD in Marketing from the University of Pune. She led marketing at Panchshil Realty for over a decade before launching her fashion label, House of Maral Yazarloo, debuting at London Fashion Week and showcasing globally.

A fearless rider, she made history as the first woman in India to own a Ducati and a BMW GS, founded Lady Riders of India, and embarked on a solo world tour—110,000 km across 64 countries, touching all seven continents. She even rode across Iran, pushing for women’s right to motorcycle licenses, earning the title "Hope."

Named one of BBC’s 100 Most Powerful Women, Maral is a two-time International Women Achiever Award winner and leads the Real Men Respect Women campaign in India. She’s not just breaking barriers—she’s leaving the road wide open for others to follow.

Shreya Josh

Meet Shreya Josh—an artist from New Delhi turning self-expression into an art form.

With a background in realistic drawing, she developed a playful, messy style. At 17, a tattoo sparked her love for body art, leading her to discover handpoke tattoos while studying in Chicago. In 2017, she launched Tender Pokes in India, empowering people through tattoos. Living with vitiligo, Shreya embraces individuality—inking her skin, adding tooth gems, and exploring art in every form, from tattoos to jewellery. For her, self-expression isn’t just an art—it’s a way of life.

Prabhleen Kaur

Meet Prabhleen—a multidisciplinary artist and creative director working across textiles, Mehndi, and transient materials.

Her practice moves through line, surface, and gesture—balancing intuition with studied technique. Drawn to the quiet tension between ornament and structure, she collaborates with materials, letting each process reveal its own language.
