Adding a polish to an icon, the “GEL-LYTE™ XXX”, the base model, radiates a “future classic” feel. Unlike the base model, this “GEL-LYTE XXX WELCOME TOKYO” model has an added tongue with artwork combining the letters A, S, I, C, and S. The eyelet specification has been altered to highlight this feature. The heel section displays the “SWOLF” logo (the base model has the GEL™ logo) and artwork combining the letters S, W, O, L, and F, with different colors used for the left and right ASICS Stripes, which are covered in a net with a wire mesh look, while the clear rubber section of the outer sole boasts a dragon and flames motif, to complete a pair of sneakers that presents a condensed version of sneakerwolf’s world view.
