Adidas Originals X SP5DER ADIZERO F50 FORMOTION

The SP5DER x adidas F50 Formotion is built around colour and shine. Glossy red panels and mesh cover the upper, while vivid pink takes over the Three Stripes, heel cage and segmented Formotion sole. The result feels closer to SP5DER’s graphic world than a conventional football shoe—which is exactly where this collaboration gets interesting.

Founded in 2019, SP5DER is a Los Angeles-based brand with roots in Atlanta, known for loud colour, oversized graphics, rhinestones and a punk-inflected take on streetwear. That attitude carries naturally into a shoe this bright.

Underneath the colour is a hybrid drawn from two parts of the adidas performance archive. The upper references the Adizero F50 III football boot, while the chunky, decoupled Formotion tooling was originally developed for running. Together they turn early-2000s sports technology into a distinctly contemporary lifestyle sneaker.

With this much red and pink, the easiest styling move is probably not to compete with it. Black, washed denim, grey or simple technical pieces give the shoe space to do the talking.
