The orchestration, conducted with great panache in each of the songs, is a very important element of the album "Nat King Cole & Me". This orchestral profusion, but also very classic, swinging moments - such as in "LOVE", reveal the great esteem Porter has for Cole's work, and also for himself. Before the premiere of the album, the artist admitted that it was his natural return to his roots, to the music from which he drew knowledge about life. In this sense, Porter calls Cole his father - musical and ideological.
In a technical sense—the careful arrangement and orchestration, the impeccable performance by Porter himself—everything fits here. One could say that the proportions are almost classical, if not for the fact that the energy is decidedly closer to the Romantic era.
